In an emergency situation, where the urgent transfer of injured people or human organs is required for a transplant, DOCTORS HOSPITAL has the operational support of a Heliport with the highest standards of efficiency and safety at the international level.

With an H2 category, the DOCTORS HOSPITAL Heliport has the maximum capacity to receive patients and helicopters in an emergency: it can receive aircraft of up to 24 meters in length, between 6 and 8 tons in weight, with a capacity of up to fifteen passengers. And the physical dimensions of its 30 x 30 meter platform make it the largest private heliport in the State of Nuevo León, explained Eng. Yousefh Pineda Bedolla of Cramex Aviation.

It is also one of the safest heliports for aircraft operations, since it has dimensions greater than the minimum required by current aeronautical regulations, and its safety and firefighting equipment is 200% above the capacity required by the aeronautical standard. In summary, its infrastructure and equipment far exceed normative security standards, which makes it one of the safest heliports and with the greatest capacity to respond in the event of an emergency, continued Eng. Pineda.

The added value that this first level Heliport provides to a high specialty hospital such as DOCTORS HOSPITAL, is to increase the capacity to attend to any medical emergency in a timely and effective manner, since being able to receive air ambulances reduces the action times in the care of seriously injured or injured patients, therefore increasing the possibility of saving lives, said Heliport Captain Jonathan Podolsky.

In the same way, nowadays organ transplantation depends a great deal on the time in which they can be moved, and having a heliport ensures that the times are reduced on a large scale, which reduces risks and maximizes the possibility of performing these types of operations quickly.

Compared to other medical heliports in Mexico, the differentiating factors of the DOCTORS HOSPITAL Heliport include the advantages of its large platform, its complete equipment and its high capacity to receive large aircraft. It also has a strategic location in the City of Monterrey, explained Jonathan Podolsky.

The operation of this Heliport complies with the certification and authorization of the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, which depends on the Ministry of Communications and Transportation at the federal level and has a valid permit until the year 2043.

The Heliport operation also complies with all current aeronautical regulations, which are very demanding and strict in the field of aviation security. In order to achieve the certification and authorization, it was necessary to approve quality audits and inspections by personnel from the Directorate of Airports and from the local North Airport Command under the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics.
