In an emergency situation, where the urgent transfer of injured people or human organs is required for a transplant, DOCTORS HOSPITAL has the operational support of a Heliport with the highest standards of efficiency and safety at the international level.

With an H2 category, the DOCTORS HOSPITAL Heliport has the maximum capacity to receive patients and helicopters in an emergency: it can receive aircraft of up to 24 meters in length, between 6 and 8 tons in weight, with a capacity of up to fifteen passengers. And the physical dimensions of its 30 x 30 meter platform make it the largest private heliport in the State of Nuevo León, explained Eng. Yousefh Pineda Bedolla of Cramex Aviation.

It is also one of the safest heliports for aircraft operations, since it has dimensions greater than the minimum required by current aeronautical regulations, and its safety and firefighting equipment is 200% above the capacity required by the aeronautical standard. In summary, its infrastructure and equipment far exceed normative security standards, which makes it one of the safest heliports and with the greatest capacity to respond in the event of an emergency, continued Eng. The operation of this Heliport complies with the certification and authorization of the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics, which depends on the Ministry of Communications and Transportation at the federal level and has a valid permit until the year 2043.

The Heliport operation also complies with all current aeronautical regulations, which are very demanding and strict in the field of aviation security. In order to achieve the certification and authorization, it was necessary to approve quality audits and inspections by personnel from the Directorate of Airports and from the local North Airport Command under the General Directorate of Civil Aeronautics.

Inaugurates Elekta’s Versa HD Radiotherapy Team, First in Latin America.

With an investment of 20 million dollars, the Doctors Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Center incorporates the best technology for Cancer diagnosis and Treatment.

On October 12, 2019, the Comprehensive Cancer Center of DOCTORS HOSPITAL began its operations with the inauguration of the Radiotherapy Department. For this, the Elekta Versa HD was acquired, being the first equipment installed in Latin America.

The Center also has a PET-CT Biograph mCT from Siemens, the Philips 1.5 Tesla Intera Magnetic Resonance, the Philips 64-slice TAC Brilliance and soon, an Eclipse HP Cyclotron for the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals.

On this last point, it is worth noting the support of more than 13 years of experience in this field of medicine where the doctors and scientists of the institution have achieved the development of more than 30 radionuclides for the diagnosis of different diseases, ranking in the TOP 10 World Cup of this specialty.

Versa HD by Elekta is the most modern radiotherapy at present and is considered a state of the art of its kind. It has been designed to provide unprecedented precision and speed in Radiotherapy and Advanced Stereotactic Radiosurgery.
